Testing Standards

BCA, an English international school in Bucharest, is committed to encouraging academic progress in each child over the course of a school year. That’s why we utilize Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Testing.

Our goal is not for students to achieve straight A’s, or measure their success on if they can achieve straight A’s. Our goal is that each student strives for improvement, so no matter where they are in their learning, they continue to find new ways to grow.

MAP Testing data can help schools make adjustments to curriculum, inform teachers how to differentiate in the classroom, and motivate students. It will also help students transfer across school systems—making transitions to North American schools easier and assisting with grade placement.
